Black Hole Gopher Trap
"It makes gophers think there's a hole in their tunnel. When they go to plug it, they get caught," say manufacturers of the new Black Hole gopher trap. The body of the trap is a piece of round PVC pipe. There's a small hole in one end and a big opening in the other that leads to a piece of small dia. steel cable. When the gopher trips the trap, the cable catches him around the neck or middle.
To set, find a fresh gopher mound. Dig it up to expose the open tunnel and install the trap in the opening, sealing all cracks around the outside. Make certain the small hole in the end of the trap remains open.
"Because it's round, they think the trap is part of their tunnel. Conventional wire claw and box traps can't come close to the performance of this new trap," a company representative told FARM SHOW.
Black Hole traps sell for $10.95 apiece.
