The most noticeable feature of the Super Truck, decked out by Truck Supply, a division of the Hemco Corp., Independence, Mo., to display the firm's complete line of accessories for pickups, is the cab extension. It bolts onto the back of the cab and provides additional storage space. Available in kit form to fit most makes and models, it sells for $229. "The existing rear window is moved back and installed in the cab extension. This makes the pickup very adaptable for travel because of the added cab space, and also dresses up appearance of the truck," explains a spokesman for Truck Supply. The firm also offers a custom "trucker seat" for pickups. It features an armless console and contoured model back and bottom cushions. One size fits most pickups. For night driving, Hemco offers "Hella" driving lights. The quartz lamps project far beyond standard light beams for safer, high speed driving, according to Truck Supply. Other accessories offered include: Aero bug shield, chrome push bars, chrome steel tube grill, headlight show shades, chrome tow hooks, polished stainless steel tailgate, chrome super bumper, splash guards, chrome siderails with wood grain, auxiliary fuel tanks, grab handles and vent shades, full length running boards, and an air flow sun visor which provides "squint-free" windshield protection from glaring sun, sleet, snow and frost.
