No need to wake yourself (or your mate) to find out. Just lie still and half open one eye to see the exact time displayed on the ceiling.
That's how it is with the Ceiling View alarm clock from Stancraft Products. It projects the time in 5 minute increments on the ceiling of any darkened room. Projected numerals are about 4 in. high.
If you can't make it on your own, the clock has a standard alarm to make sure you're up on time.
