That's how it is with the Ceiling View alarm clock from Stancraft Products. It projects the time in 5 minute increments on the ceiling of any darkened room. Projected numerals are about 4 in. high.
If you can't make it on your own, the clock has a standard alarm to make sure you're up on time.
