Farm Show & Queen Elizabeth Cover The Royal In England
Our paths crossed at the spectacular Royal International Agricultural Show near Coventry where, along with the Queen, we covered one of Europe's biggest and best farm shows.
Highlight of the show was getting close enough to Her Majesty to say "Hello", and to take the accompanying pictures.
Besides meeting the Queen, we uncovered the exciting array of new products and ideas featured on page 6 and 7 of this issue - everything from a new, packaged setup for milking sheep to a new feeder that coaxes hogs to eat even when their stomachs tells them they're not hungry.
The Royal Show in England is one of three big European shows our editors have attended in the past 6 months. Managing Editor Mark Newhall was in Paris last March to cover the SIMA show which, with more than 1 million people attending, is the world's largest. From France Mark flew to Italy to cover that country's biggest farm show.
This issue proudly salutes Queen Elizabeth, one of the many celebrities with a genuine interest in agriculture whom we've met in covering major farm shows in all corners of the world in search of latest new products and ideas.
