Blower Applicator For Hay Preservatives
"My first-of-its-kind air flow applicator for round or square balers blows granular preservative onto hay as it enters the bale chamber. Using air power results in a bet-ter mix than any applicator on the market," says Francis Bauer, Plymouth, Minn.
The applicator bolts onto the front of the baler and is powered by the tractor's 12-volt battery. Preservative is metered out of a Gandy Dispenser and then carried by air flow from a blower that mounts beneath the applicator to a pair of vaned spreaders.
"A thorough mix of preservatives lets you bale hay at up to 25% moisture with-out any other special handling," says Bauer.
Sells for $1,317.
