Dual Action Ratchet Wrench
✖ |
Steve Gummow's new ratchet wrench works like a conventional ratchet on tightened-down nuts. But, once the nut is loosened, it's unique dual action takes over. Rather than spin the whole ratchet handle around, you just punch a button on the handle and spin the ratchet head with a forward and
back rotary motion of the handle. In tight quarters, it'll let you spin a nut on or off without having to hold the socket in place with your other hand.
A 1/2-in. drive ratchet sells for about $25. Gummow says he's working on a 3/8 in. drive unit.
Contact: Steve Gummow, Box 189, Rt. 1, Rockton, Ill. 61072 (ph 815 624-2213).
