Brock Mfg. says it's solved the problem with a new electric powered shaker plate that's suspended by chain inside the hop-per. It automatically runs whenever the auger does. Fitted with a 1 hp motor, it sells for $750 to $850, depending on bin size. Can be retrofitted to an existing bin.
New Brock bins have another new feature - a hopper access door that makes bin clean-out easy. Located on the slant of the hopper, the 35 by 16 1/2-in. panel bolts to the inside of the hopper. Sells for $156 to $225, depending on bin size. Can be fitted to other bins.
