Low-Price Gathering Chains For Deere Soybean Heads
"Every farmer dreads the thought of having to purchase replacement gathering chains for his Deere row crop bean head because they're an expensive item. Up till now, his local Deere dealer had a virtual monopoly on the market," says Lana Brown, marketing director for McKee Unlimited, Emerson, Iowa.McKee has introduced American-made replacement gathering chains for older-style and A series row crop heads that are reportedly of the same quality, have the same specs and same warranty as Deere's but sell for much less.
"Farmers are used to paying a dealer price of right at $95 per chain ($190 per row)," says Brown. "Our prices are $77.95 per chain-$155.90 per row)ùfor A series chains. This makes the chain replacement cost for a 6-row head $935.40-a $204.60 saving over local dealer costs."
McKee's chain prices for older-style series heads are $87.95 per chain.
Chains come complete with belting, ready-to-install and freight is free, says Brown.
