Sofa Converts Into 84 In. Round Bed FARM HOME Furniture 3-1-28 Latest new wrinkle in dual purpose furniture is the unique "sleep-sofa" which doesn't have any metal or wood components.
In seconds, the crescent-shaped sofa with two matching ottomans flips into an 84-in. dia. round bed. "These convertibles are as firm and comfortable when used as beds as when they're used as lounge chairs, sofas or hassocks. And, their construction is so strong and durable they can be used every night for sleeping," says a spokesman for Spherical Furniture, Boone, N.C. "There are no hard places to poke you because there are no metal frames or springs. Just polyurethane foam through and through."
Another feature of the new Spherical Furniture is a device referred to as a "pocketing band". This device allows you to use standard flatbed sheets for the round bed.
