Equip Your Pickup With Dual Wheels
"The wide stance of the Dualer virtually eliminates hazards caused by awkward loads, high winds and sway, "explains Frank Lucas, general manager. "It gives you a stable ride. Traction is assured by the fact that the Dualer is designed to enlarge the track started by the front tire, rather than forcing the outside or extended dual to run by itself."
Lucas notes that previous methods for equipping single wheel pickups with rear duals are adapter or extension systems: "The design of either system forces the outside or extended wheel to cantilever the axel, which can ruin the axel or cause the adapter or extension to break. Our new Dualer gets the job done without requiring these extension or adapters."
The Dual system can also be used on some mobile homes.
The complete do-it-yourself kit includes: A pair of fiberglass fenders custom fit for each pickup model, mounting hardware for the fenders, two flat dish one-ton wheels, two special dish one-ton wheels, stud nuts, four-fender running lights, gas filler access door (when required) and a set of mounting instructions. Takes about four hours to install with ordinary tools.
