Moveable Tree Stake Improves Growth

It consists of a 9-in. long plastic arm that screws to the top of a tree stake through a flip-top mounting plate on one end. The other end of the arm has a plastic collar that wraps around the tree and 11 in. of retract-able nylon shock cord. The cord allows trees to sway with the wind and return to their original position when winds subside. That promotes better vertical stem growth and root growth than conventional two-stake methods which hold trees too tight, says Vitech Industries.
"They're particularly ideal for young trees in windy environments," the company says.
