Hydraulic Control For Deere Tractor Stops Pressure
✖ |
A new hydraulic control lever from TAG Mfg., Valparaiso, Neb., lets you connect or disconnect hydraulic hoses on Deere tractors without having to stop the tractor ù or having to climb into the cab to adjust the hydraulic control levers ù to eliminate pressure in the couplers.
"By moving the lever slightly forward or backward, as needed, you eliminate any pressure in the line ù making it simple and easy to connect or disconnect the hydraulic hoses," explains the manufacturer. A special adapter, which comes with the lever, connects it to the linkage rod coming from the cab. Neither the lever, nor the linkage connected to it, interferes in any way with normal operation ofthe hydraulic controls located in the cab.
For wood splitters and other hydraulically-operated equipment located behind the tractor, the lever serves as a handy on-off hydraulic control switch.
The lever fits most 30 and 40 series 2-wheel drive Deere tractors, most 4-wheel drive, and the newer (since 1969) 20 series Deere tractors. Two sealed bearings at the main pivot point provide smooth operation and long life. A plastic-coated handle resists grease and oil.
