On-The-Go Adjustable Concave

You can change the configuration of the concave in your combine on-the-go with a new adjustable concave from inventor-manufacturer Henri Moulet, of Bazancourt, France, who showed off the new combine add-on at the recent SIMA show in Paris.
"Every crop has its own characteristics and should have a concave designed to do the best job in it. Before we introduced this concave, farmers had to change concaves when they changed crops, losing valuable harvest time. Our new adjustable concave not only lets you adapt to different crops but also lets you change the concave to adapt to the condition of each crop, which can vary greatly from year to year or even from field to field," says Moulet.
All bars in the concave can be opened or closed as needed with a hand crank. "The concave features a new design that eliminates plugging in tough crops like high moisture corn and greatly reduces cracking in beans and other crops. In some crops, especially beans and wheat, farmers who've tried the concave find they adjust the con-cave several times a day according to the condition of the field they're in orthesize of the grain itself," says Moulet..
The new concave is available to fit Deere, IH Axial Flow, New Holland, and other combines. Moulet, who makes other combine add-ons, is looking for a U.S. and Canadian distributor.
