The unit's 3/8 in. thick solid steel frame comes with two pre-punched holes for inserting optional removable spears for handling big round bales. You can buy the Kup'l Rite with the built-in spear kit for $558. Or, you can buy it without the spear kit for $190 less. If you decide at a later date to add spears, you can buy the kit (includes 2 spears, 2 gussets and 2 sleeves) and install it yourself for $190.
