Splash Guard
In every herd there are a few cows who just can't seem to drink out of water bowls without slobbering all over the place. A New York inventor says his Splash Guard eliminates the problem.

Bill Roberts of New Hartford makes the plastic wrap-around guard that clamps onto all sizes of bowls. Once installed, he says it'll keep feed mangers much drier.
"You don't have to install them on every bowl. It depends on your setup and whether you can identify the cows that cause the most problems," says Roberts. The Splash Guard is made of impact resistant polyethylene that meets Grade A regulations. Sells for $12.
