Between Row Weed Wiper
You've never seen anything like this new weed wiper that reaches down between rows of standing crops to wipe chemicals on weeds. The 20-ft. wide Homburg Weedwiper has two rotating round wick bars covered with absorbent cloth. They rub against roller wheels - also covered with fabric - that run down between the rows, wiping Roundup directly onto weeds.
The two wick bars are powered by small hydraulic motors. When not needed, the between-row wheels can be removed - for instance, when you just want to kill weeds standing above the crop.
Chemical application rate applied to weeds is controlled by adjusting tractor speed and the speed of the rotating wick bars. Baffles inside the wick bars ensure equal distribution of chemicals even on hills.
Sells for $3,300. Folds up to 5 ft. wide for transport.
