Diesel-Powered ATV'S ATV'S ATV'S 21-1-25 Gas costs a lot more in Europe than it does in the U.S., which explains why many of the ATV's sold there are equipped with diesel engines. E P Barrus Ltd., a British company, imports Polaris ATV's from the U.S. and outfits them with Yanmar diesel engines that get up to 100 mpg. The company says when the 4-gal. fuel tank and 1/2-gal. re-serve tank are full you can operate for up to 40 hours before you have to refuel. Also, the diesel engines have a lot of torque and pulling power.
