Stripper Knife With Thumb Protector
You've never seen anything like this new knife with an adjustable stripper gauge/ thumb protector. The gauge/protector is a short piece of spring steel with a coiled spring loop at either end. The two spring coils simply slip over the blade edge of the knife. To strip thin layers off vegetables, you slip the knife between the first and second coils. To take thicker cuts, you slip the knife between the second and third coils. As you cut, your thumb rests against the wire between the two coils, out of harms way.
The combination stripper gauge/protector is sold together with a surgical steel 7-in. paring knife. The company says the razor sharp knife and stripper gauge combine to make the only cutting device on the market that'll to peel tomatoes.
"It's great for stripping the woody skin off broccoli and asparagus. We guarantee that this is the sharpest knife you've ever used or your money back," a company representative told FARM SHOW.
The knife and thumb protector sell for $8.95.
