Bale Spear Doubles As A Knife HAY & FORAGE HARVESTING Bale Handling (5) 20-6-13 This 4-ft. long, loader-mounted bale spear doubles as a knife and can be used to both transport bales and cut them in half.
The spear-knife bolts to a frame that mounts in place of a loader bucket. To cut a bale you drop the knife down onto the far side of the bale, then apply downpressure while backing up the tractor.
Comes with universal mounting brackets to fit all loader widths and with a safety cage to keep the bale from accidentally rolling back toward the operator. A steel guard can be slipped over the knife for safety.
