Deep Banding Tip For Cultivator Shovel
You can deep-band liquid or dry fertilizer as you cultivate, thanks to the new Agri-Tech "deep banding tip" from Keho Products, Barons, Alb.The 16-in. Agri-Tech tip mounts on cultivator or air seeder shanks using the same bolt hole that the shovel mounts on. The attachment's Ni-Hard point extends 1¥-in. below the shovel, opening a furrow deeper than the level of cultivation for liquid or granular fertilizer placement.
Sonny Ferris, a sales representative for the company, says the unit's narrow profile helps equipment pull through the ground easier and reduces wear on the shovel. When the tip wears down, you simply remove one pin and install a new one.
The tip sells for $22.75 and is currently available to fit McKay shovels. Models to fit other shovels will be available soon.
