The cordless "Heatwave" consists of a ceramic tile and heat core that's surrounded by an insulated outer casing. You heat it in a microwave for 3 to 4 minutes which brings it up to a temperature of 300 degrees yet the outer casing remains cool to the touch. Can be used to keep food warm on the table for up to 30 min. or to keep one dish hot while preparing another.
After use, the unit can be submerged in water for washing.
Two models are available - an 8-in. dia. unit that sells for $24.95 and a 10-in. dia. unit that sells for $29.95.
Also available is a 16-oz. Heatwave coffee mug. It has an energy core that's activated by placing the empty mug in a microwave for 2 to 4 minutes. Then you pour your coffee in. Heat from the energy core is distributed evenly for up to 30 minutes. The insulated base allows the heated mug to be placed directly on a tabletop.
Sells for $9.95.
