Dump Chute Feeds Cement Into Tractor-Mounted Cement Mixer
✖ |
Lloyd Armstrong, Sunderland, Ontario: "Here's an idea I came up with when we needed to pour a lot of concrete in our barn and cow yard. I built a dump chute that feeds directly into our tractor-mounted 1/3-yard cement mixer. I put the correct amount of cement in with a pail and then use a skid steer to dump in one bucket full of 3/4-in. crushed gravel. Then you just add water, mix, and drive the tractor to wherever you need to dump. The dump chute simply mounts on a frame made out of metal pipe. Makes do-it-yourself concrete work quick and easy at a price that's about 1/3 the cost of commercial ready mix."
