Tomato Soup
3 cups fresh or home canned tomatoes1 tsp baking soda
4 cups milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp butter
Bring tomatoes to a boil. Simmer 10 min. Mash tomatoes. Add baking soda. Let foam subside and add milk, salt, pepper and butter. Do not boil. Serve hot.
