Many Uses For New-Style Jack FARM SHOP Tools 1-4-15 Handiest all-purpose farm jack you ever saw is the new versatile Hydra-Jack, introduced by Chipman Industries, Estherville, Iowa.
Available in 8 or 20 ton models, it operates off the tractor's hydraulic system. Both models lift up to 11 in. in one stroke. A special "lifting finger" attachment adjusts to within 4 in. of the ground, allowing the jack to get low down for raising machines which are broken down and laying on the ground.
Used in conjunction with a shop press or chain, the Hydra-Jack can be used to straighten or bend iron, pull fence posts, align roof beams and so forth.
The 8 ton model sells for $176.50; the 20 ton model for $350.
