“I made a dumpster out of an old fuel tank. It stands on wood blocks and I hinged the top 1/4 of the tank, putting a handle to lift it. Metal rails tack-welded to to top edge reinforce the tank and cover the sharp edges.”

Dumpster Made Out Of Old Fuel Tank FARM SHOP Miscellaneous Curtis Footh Stanley N Dak : “I used Deere baler belting to make a loader-mounted sling Works great for maneuvering vehicles up onto my service rack It’s similar to the slings found on old auto wreckers and is built strong – it’ll lift a 2 1/2-ton truck with no problem “A pipe across the bottom with steel hooks on it attaches to the vehicle’s frame Vertical strips of 1-ft wide 3-ft long baler belting form the sides with more belting and chain hooks on top “I mounted an old motorhome generator on a homemade wheeled cart to make a portable power unit The generator is bolted to an angle iron frame with a metal loop on top allowing me to lift it into the back of my pickup The gas tank is off an old outboard motor and sets inside a cradle making it easy to keep fresh gas in the tank An electric fuel pump is clamped to the tank’s handle and wired to the battery The generator is out of a Dodge motorhome and has a 3 000-watt output “I made a dumpster out of an old fuel tank It stands on wood blocks and I hinged the top 1/4 of the tank putting a handle to lift it Metal rails tack-welded to to top edge reinforce the tank and cover the sharp edges ”
