Snake Catcher Made Out Of A 6-ft Length of 1/2-in Conduit MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT Pest Animals We live in an old farm house and occasionally have an unwelcome reptile visitor so we made a “snake catcher” out of a 6-ft length of 1/2-in conduit We doubled a 14-ft piece of flexible cable through the conduit with the loop end extending 6 in out one end and the 2 ends of the cable out the other end The 2 ends are secured through holes in an 8-in section of a wooden shovel handle To catch the snake I just place the loop over the snake’s head and pull on the wooden handle As long as I don’t pull too hard the snake can be released alive Darrell Westervelt 5151 Silver Creek Road Manhattan Kansas 66503
