“Best Barrel Boot Scraper Ever” FARM HOME Miscellaneous Cleaning muddy boots isn’t a problem any more for Wayne Bryan Conesus N Y He made a boot scraper using the top of a 55-gal plastic barrel He used a cordless circular saw equipped with a 4-in blade to cut off the top 3 in of the barrel then made a series of cuts about 3/8 in apart around the rim and bung holes He also made a series of long parallel cuts about 1 1/2 in apart in the lid and turned them into “louvers” He used a propane torch to heat the ends of the cuts then used a vise grip to bend them and hold them in place until they hardened He also cut a 2-in wide strip out of a truck mud flap and used a couple of carriage bolts to fasten it onto the lid bristle side up Contact: FARM SHOW Followup Wayne M Bryan 5460 Turkey Hill Rd Conesus N Y 14435
