Fence System Features Durable Plastic Posts

The Timeless Fence System is comprised of durable plastic posts that are self-insulating and non-conductive. The posts themselves act as insulators. The system is made by Plastic Innovation, an American company that manufactures, markets, and distributes the fencing system.
“This fencing was created out of frustration with the constant maintenance required to repair insulators on wood and steel posts,” says Drew Wilson, Timeless Fence System regional account representative.
Each post is made from scrap rigid PVC window and door materials that can be reground up to seven times for reuse. This material is weatherable and UV-protected, with a lifespan of 40+ years.
The resulting posts are strong, flexible, and nearly impossible to break under normal use. Each comes with 3/8-in. pre-drilled holes spaced every 3 in. for easy wire threading. The posts are available in white, black, and brown. Though large animal livestock fencing is the company’s primary business, the system is also used in gardens and vineyards and for small animal fencing.
“Electric fencing is more cost-effective than physical barriers and works better for trained animals. Likewise, it has a longer life as livestock won’t rub and scratch on electric fencing as they do with barbed wire or woven wire,” says Wilson.
Wilson believes the fence system offers easier management of adaptive grazing techniques that’ll encourage grass growth to increase the carrying capacity on set acreage. But the major appeal is the lack of maintenance. He explains, “Our post is the insulator. The lack of maintenance this creates allows farmers and ranchers to spend time making money on their acreage and not wasting it by repairing insulators with a 3-year life span.”
High-tensile fencing tends to be more economical than physical barrier fencing, allowing grazing operations to become profitable more quickly. Rigid PVC T-posts range from $6.50 to $17.25, depending on size. Braces, step-in posts, H-posts, corners, and braces are also available.
