Automatic Feed Weigher LIVESTOCK Feeding Equipment 1-6-29 Accurate measuring of grain, ground feed, pellets and similar products permits careful blending of rations, control of feeding rates and a record of feed handled. To get the job done, the President Co. offers a new line of automatic weighers with maximum capacities of 5,6,7.5, 12 and 25 tons per hour, depending on the material handled. A variety of inlet and outlet adaptors, plus remote controls, recorders and other special equipment, are said to adapt these precision weighers to almost any feed handling or processing operation. They can be used to measure material entering a mill or grinder, for prepared feed leaving a grinder, pellet mill or other processing equipment, or grain being placed into or removed from storage. Careful design and manufacturer, plus a minimum number of moving parts, are said to provide long troublefree service and accuracy down to 0.5 percent, depending on material weighed. Different controls are available to weigh batches. For automatic filling, the feed flow is stopped any time the weigher outlet is blocked, such as to a hammermill with less capacity than the weigher, then restarted when the discharge clears. Controls and indicators are available for measuring hundredweights or kilograms. The U.S. retail prices for the President Automatic Weigher will start at approximately $300 for the P4 model with 5 ton capacity. The manufacturer is seeking U.S. outlets.
