I made this nifty gate latch for use on bale wagon endgates. it holds tight and is easy to release. A 4-in. wide loop of 1/2-in. dia. rod is welded to a 1 1/2-in. wide piece of strap iron. It catches over the rod on the top edge of the endgate and flips up easily to release. (Mark Wagner, Rt. 2, Box 212, Hummelstown, Penn. 17036)
