Fold-Away Truck Steps TRUCKS Accessories 2-6-21 Fold-Away truck steps that change from storage to working position in one easy move are new from Skail It, Lewiston, Ill. They're available for mounting on the side or rear of the truck box, and in a model designed for installation inside the truck box. Rear mounted steps are generally used on trucks equipped with side mounted saddle tanks which would interfere with a side-mount ladder. All models come pre-packaged and pre-assembled with all the necessary hardware. They bolt into place and require no welding. Individual steps, made of high strength steel, are 1l8 in. thick and 16 in. wide. They are primed and pre-painted in white enamel to complement any truck body color combination. Cost of the 3-rung side-mounted ladder is $48 for the bottom unit, which mounts under the truck box, and $58.95 for the upper section which mounts directly above it on the side of the box. The two sections can be purchased individually, or together as a pair (a 4 rung model is available for truck boxes with 60 in. sides). Cost of the rear mounted unit is $52, and $35 for the fold-away model designed for installation inside a box.
