3-Pt Hydraulic Barbed Wire Roller FENCING Techniques 20-6-23 You can roll up barbed wire quickly and easily with this new-style 3-pt. mounted hydraulic wire roller built by Swalwell, Alberta, farmer Ervie Toews.
The E&N Wire Roller mounts on any tractor's 3 pt. hitch. It consists of a cone-shaped drum tapering from 12 in. in dia. on one side to 9 in. in dia. on the drive side. It's chain driven from a hydraulic motor on the side of the device.
It features a manual wire guide arm. The lower portion has an eye the wire threads through, while the upper portion controls side-to-side travel as the wire rolls up.
It also has a wire holder on the drive side that accommodates a standard 1/ 4-mile roll of barbed wire for unrolling. The new wire fits over a 1-in. dia. spindle in the center of the holder.
